19th January 2018: Kings Juniors Primary Big Schools Birdwatch

Birdwatcher’s from King’s Junior Division joined Wildlife Explorer Leaders in Victoria Park for their Big School Birdwatch – there had been overnight snow and ice which had mainly cleared for a sunny but bitterly cold morning. Children could hear lots of birds singing in the trees but they proved challenging to spot. Students from Year 3 and 4 used binoculars and a telescope to build up a fabulous list of 20 different species and they were able to observe some very interesting behaviour.
