Leaders and young volunteers from Wildlife Explorers took part in Macclesfield Town Council’s event in West Park – Welly Walk. Visitors enjoyed open air storytelling, a bush craft display, birds of prey, flint fire lighting, toasting marshmallows and the eponymous welly trail. It was very busy session for Leaders Helen and Simon who ran bird watching activities for families with young children. We are hoping to support this free outdoor play themed event in an enhanced way in October 2018 by combining it with our annual ‘Nature Needs You’ meeting.
