Wildlife Explorers gathered at Poynton Coppice at the weekend to follow a Treasure Trail packed with wildlife clues and nature activities. Leader Martin introduced the history of the Coppice and explained how the area is managed for wildlife using the ancient woodland management technique of coppicing. Families enjoyed identifying birds, flowers and trees typical of the Coppice . Tasks that had to be completed included bark rubbings, identifying species and making foil leaf impressions.
